Possum Kingdom Lake Home

The Possum Kingdom Realtor That Makes a Difference in the Community

As a Possum Kingdom Realtor, Sabrina Sparkman is well-known for helping you find homes for sale on Possum Kingdom Lake and land in Palo Pinto County while providing her clients with exceptional real estate services. Whether you’re a buyer or a seller, Sabrina’s commitment remains the same – to provide a service that exceeds her client’s expectations.

Sabrina is also committed to helping those in need.  When you hire Sabrina to represent you in finding your next home, she always has and will continue to donate 5% of her commission to one of the charities that tugs most on her heart.

While you’re focused on buying or selling, you can rest easy knowing that Sabrina is not only working hard for you, but she’s working hard to take care of those people struggling just to survive mentally or financially.

Here are three of the local causes that Sabrina finds worthy of her support.

Pythian Home

The Pythian Home provides a safe and stable environment for children to grow physically, socially, and emotionally, allowing them to become independent adults.

While the Pythian Home is licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, children who stay at the home are placed there voluntarily, allowing parents and guardians to keep their parental rights. By giving the parents the option to leave their children in the care of Pythian Home, parents can get back on their feet knowing their children are receiving the care and attention they need.

Many of the children who come to Pythian Home come from families struggling with homelessness, unemployment, drug/alcohol abuse, incarceration, or inability to provide day-to-day care for the children.

The Pythian Home is located on 164 acres of farmland in Weatherford. What truly makes Pythian Home different is the children attend public schools and are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities such as soccer, football, band, scouts, and more.

Hope Women’s Shelter

Hope Women’s Shelter is a place for new beginnings. They are a domestic violence and sexual assault victim’s shelter located in Mineral Wells, TX, and have proudly served the Palo Pinto, Parker, Erath, and Hood County since 1983. The shelter is working to eliminate domestic violence through intervention, shelter, counseling, support, and education to promote the healing of abused victims.

In addition to providing shelter, a crisis hotline (940-325-1306) is answered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, by trained personnel for information and referral. When necessary, Hope can offer emergency shelter in a confidential location that provides safe lodging for victims and their children escaping an abusive situation.

Their main goal is to help eliminate domestic violence in the community.

Children’s Alliance Center for Palo Pinto County

Children’s Alliance Center promotes the healing of child abuse victims one child at a time. Their mission is to prevent child abuse, reduce trauma from abuse, and protect children while restoring the families of our communities.

The center offers an array of help including forensic interviews, multi-disciplinary team investigation and case review, family advocacy, prevention outreach, therapy and more.

In Texas, 1 in 10 children will be abused before their 18th birthday, with 47% of those children being between the ages of 6 and 12. The staff and volunteers at Children’s Alliance Center work hard to help those abused facilitate prosecution of perpetrators through effective fact finding and strong case development, and minimize re-victimization of child victims and supportive family members.
